About Kyle Wingfield

Kyle Wingfield, a native of Dalton, Georgia, is the President and CEO of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation. A University of Georgia alumnus, Kyle joined the Foundation in 2018 after nine years as an opinion columnist for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Previously, he worked as a journalist for The Wall Street Journal in Brussels and the Associated Press in Atlanta and Montgomery, Alabama.

Kyle’s work focuses on state politics and policy, including education, transportation, health care, and taxation. He is a regular guest on GPB’s Political Rewind and a finalist for the Reason Foundation’s Bastiat Prize for Journalism. His weekly column appears in newspapers statewide. A member of Leadership Georgia’s Class of 2018 and a dedicated Eagle Scout volunteer, Kyle has earned numerous accolades, including the UGA Alumni Association’s 40 Under 40 recognition.
