Who are we?
North Fulton Improvement Network (NFIN) is a nonpartisan, housing-centered civic policy organization. We’re committed to strengthening North Fulton through thoughtful policy and collaborative civic engagement.
We believe strong communities are built when people of different ages, incomes, and backgrounds can live near where they work, worship, volunteer, and raise families.
We believe “gentle density” can expand choices without changing the character of our neighborhoods.
We do not advocate for unchecked development.
We advocate for intentional, data-informed planning that reflects the needs of today’s residents and tomorrow’s generations.
Today, our primary focus is expanding housing options for middle-income and workforce households — the teachers, nurses, first responders, city staff, young professionals, and seniors who form the backbone of our community.
Why we exist?
North Fulton is one of the most desirable regions in Georgia — but housing costs have risen dramatically. Many households are priced out of the area due to our market’s lack of housing for first time buyers or young and growing families.
At the same time:
Employers struggle to attract and retain workers
Traffic congestion worsens as commutes grow longer
Seniors on fixed incomes face limited downsizing options
Young families are forced to relocate
Housing is not just a real estate issue.
It is an economic, transportation, and community sustainability issue.
NFIN exists to help our cities address this challenge thoughtfully and proactively.
